This is one of the questions we are asked all the time. The answer is there are no set costs for web site design, the price of a web site depends on your requirements and the complexity of your website. Not every website is the same, some contain e-commerce functions to allow people buy online, others have online databases such as car dealers and estate agents, whilst others are straightforward brochure sites. If you are shopping around for quotations do not be surprised to get prices from different web design companies ranging from hundreds to thousands of euros for the same specification. Q - What is web hosting and can you provide this service ? Once your web site is designed it needs to be placed on the internet, we refer to this as 'hosting'. Your site is uploaded to a web server that connects to the world wide web. We provide competitive web hosting packages and as part of the web design process we incorporate this in our pricing. If you already have a host in mind we can set up your site with this host. Q - What annual costs should I expect in running my website ? This will depend on what type of website you are running. The costs involved may include the following.... * Your hosting costs. * Your domain name renewal (the name of your site) * If you run a shopping e-commerce site or require extra security, a secure SSL certificate may be required. * If you require your web designer to make major changes to your site after completion or on an ongoing basis. Q - I would like a facility to be able to update or modify my website myself? We can provide you with a Content Management System (CMS) that will allow you to login make changes yourself. You will have the ability to add photographs/images and modify any of your page content. This is as easy as using a regular word processing package like MS Office. Q - What information do I need to provide to you ? You will need to provide us with detailed information on the content you wish to display, the products you sell, images and text for the web site (in a Digital format). If you cannot supply photos or images we can provide high quality royalty-free licensed images if required. Q - Do you provide website statistics ? We provide full graphical website statistics which you can view at any time. These contain many features including how many hits your website gets on a daily/weekly basis, your most popular keywords, and what country or search engine your site was found in. Q - Do you provide E-Mail Accounts ? Yes, if we supply your hosting we can provide you with several email accounts. If you are arranging your own hosting package we can setup your email for you.
